Follow Up Group

The aim of this group is to provide neurodevelopmental follow up data at 2 years of age on all preterm neonatal graduates from this network.  This will ensure that all babies with identifiable problems will be dealt with in a timely way and also act as a continuous audit of outcomes. 

It has been agreed that all babies treated of birthweight less than 1250g or gestation less than 31 weeks will be assessed using the Bayley Development Assessment at a corrected age of 2 years.
